Company mission

To help more people in more places live healthier lives.

Our take

Finding an affordable fitness gym can be difficult, particularly for people who move location regularly and are on a budget. Lengthy contracts, expensive direct debits, and additional fees for classes quickly add up to make gym memberships difficult to afford, and location changes can instantly result in memberships becoming worthless.

Pure Gym provides over 600 fitness gyms in the UK, with every gym being accessible to any member regardless of location, and memberships being free to cancel at any time with no additional costs or contractual obligations. The company also focuses on making its gym memberships affordable to everyone, offering student discounts and low monthly prices that include a wide range of classes.

The company’s main challenge will manifest as other UK-based fitness gym chains that offer similar location flexibility, but Pure Gym stands out by also focusing on affordability and zero-commitment memberships. Alongside a savvy cost-of-living-crisis spurred refinancing package, PureGym is also expanding globally, opening 12 new franchises in the US, Dubai, and Saudi Arabia with plans to open more internationally.
