The team values learning and encourages to continue learning new and honing your current skills. At my time here I have been able to learn new software and techniques as well as work on my current skills on a busy workplace along talented hard working coworkers.

Quell is taking the combination of fitness and gaming to the next level with their product, and being part of a project like this that can really help in others well-being is work that really inspires me.

Quell is full of very skilled and talented members. The workplace inspires hard work and the company values learning and bringing out the best of its workers.

Building something new means learning something new every day. We learn from what our competitors do right and where they fail to make sure our product is the best it can be.

The game is designed to make people fitter, regardless of their current fitness level or experience. It's a novel application of technology to an important area for people's health.

The team regularly check in with one another in structured and unstructured ways, and it feels like there is a real sense of care between the different members of the company.

Many companies proclaim an open & transparent culture, with Quell it's the first time in my 25+ years career that I see it being embraced fully. Not only that, but the absolute drive & passion is combined with true caring about the things that really matter.

There are regular culture barometer sessions, where the whole team provides their input and findings, as well as potential solutions / next steps are being discussed.

At Quell we never cut corners. There is a clear vision as to what the fitness gaming should be, and a clear mission as to who we're going to deliver this.

An open and genuinely caring ethos is demonstrated by everyone at Quell. If you go to anyone with a wellbeing issue, it's dealt with with kindness, understanding and a view on long-term solutions not quick fixes.

Encouragement and evangelising team members work is commonplace. We're making something that we think people will really love and that galvanizes a team to produce their best work in a fantastic, upward spiral.

Quell feels like quite a unique proposition to work on, with lots of interesting creative challenges but a clear 'north star' in terms of direction. Frequent playtests that prove our work is succeeding in it's aims helps to motivate us even further.

I have never worked in a place that cares so much about how well their employees feel. We have meetings every two weeks to check the state of this, as well as of other areas that could be affecting our work. If an employee is working overtime, then his/her schedule/tasks will be changed so that this never happens again.

We can work from home a couple of times per week, so that we can progress on our tasks on our own relaxed space, and we can start/stop working at different times during the day (respecting some established core hours) helping organize our personal life a bit better.

Frequent 1 to 1 meetings to both give and receive feedback to/from our superiors, where they also help us progress on our careers, opening new future opportunities. They listen, where in other companies there wouldn't even be a talk.

I'm constantly inspired by the team's hard work and dedication. It's great working with people who strive to make each other proud. I also love that they value working smarter, not harder, which makes it possible to progress.

Everyone is friendly, open and supportive, and they strive to maintain a company culture that values everyone's feedback. I also appreciate that they value work/life/mental health balance.

Quell aims to revolutionise fitness gaming, and being a part of the team who manages to pull this off is incredibly exciting. Playing games while getting fit is a win-win in my book!

Staying engaged with exercise is such a common problem, and many of the current solutions are flawed. We're really trying to build something that solves these problems, for real. It's great to work on something I genuinely need in my life!

We regularly share our work; on Slack within our disciplines, and also at the end of each sprint, we have a show and tell where we get to present our work back to the wider team. We always celebrate the progress we've made and the people who made it happen.

I love the team here! Everyone is great at what they do and also just a great person to know. I love hanging out, getting lunch, and having drinks. With the pace we're moving at and the scale of the project, it could get kind of intense, but the bonds we have mean work is always more fun than it is stressful. Everyone's open to feedback and improving and making Quell the best it can be.

Developing a brand new technology which requires multidisciplinary knowledge. Core value of best idea wins and build something people love encourage you to think out of the box and try any idea you might want to obtain the better result.

Autonomy is one of the core values of the company, and is shown in all steps of the product development. You are the owner of the system you are working on, and you have freedom to create and do any changes you think are convenient. This is well wrapped with a seamlessly communication between teams and managers, making very easy to understand the current status of the product as a whole.

We have a very working hours system which allows you to be working in the office or remotely based on your preferences, change them week to week to adapt to your schedule, and also the coincidence of some core hours where you know that everyone will be available.
