Our take

Ordering supplies for restaurants used to be done by leaving voicemails to suppliers. Making orders with this method means it's very easy for mistakes to happen. Rekki allows people in commercial kitchens and supplier operators to order supplies on their phones, keep track of orders and chat directly with suppliers.

Rekki's customers will appreciate the presence of all their operations on the same app. This makes for for easier delegation and monitoring - and hence, increased productivity (an already scarce resource for independent restaurant operators) for its users. REKKI also automates the supply ordering process using AI, cutting order processing time by 90%.

They will have a competitive advantage once the company gets enough restaurants and suppliers on the platform, as the marketplace will be facilitating conversations and transactions that can’t happen anywhere else and users will be reluctant to move away. We have added more tools on the supplier side of the business, so no longer only focus on the restaurant side of things, but help automate supplier operations. We would like a more balanced take involving both sides of the business - supplier and restaurant. Our "new" AI tool for suppliers reduces human touch and therefore cuts order processing time by 90%. Some of our early adopters are coming up on completing their first year on the tool.
