RQI Partners' mission is to improve survival from cardiac arrest by bringing new solutions to resuscitation education and quality improvement.
-1% employee growth in 12 months
RQI Partners was created from a partnership between the American Heart Association and Laerdal Medical, with the view to applying innovative learning techniques to CPR training. In the US, where cardiac arrest claims upwards of 425,000 lives a year, the company hopes its approach will support both in-hospital and bystander CPR to increase survival rates across the country.
The company delivers both pre-hospital and in-hospital solutions, covering the entire "CPR chain". For 911 dispatchers, for example, RQI Partners supplies on-duty online training to enable them to coach bystanders through administering effective CPR. It also provides performance analytics so that the centers managing the calls can see where they should focus additional training efforts.
RQI Partners' in-hospital solutions focus on improving the quality of CPR being administered by healthcare professionals, which its research has shown is not optimized by current 2-year training cycles. Through its program, staff can complete simulation-based mastery and quality improvement sessions much more often, yet without taking large blocks of time away from their other responsibilities.
In 2022, the company's RQI-P GO solution received the prestigious iF (International Forum) Design Award in the Product, Medicine/Health category, showcasing the international recognition that its innovation has earned. As more and more light is shed on the effect quality CPR has on cardiac arrest survival rates, it can only be expected that the reach of RQI Partners will expand as time goes on.
