Our take

Whilst AA has been readily available for decades (and proven to be effective for many), the format hasn't been as available for issues beyond the disease of addiction. Real offers a mental wellbeing app that allows users to find therapists and group therapy sessions for a range of issues.

The company sets itself apart by being based on group therapy. With on demand group therapy available, Real helps its users feel less alone and able to tap into the conversations and therapy exactly when they need it. It also creates content for a diverse range of communities, accommodating for all.

After securing major funding, the company intends to expand its headcount to create more resources and pathways on its platform. This will help it consolidate its position and offer a more comprehensive service to users.
