Our take

Founded in 2009, Reason Digital is a tech company focused on social enterprise, developing digital solutions for charities and organisations that aim to change lives for the better. From web design and app building to digital strategy consultancy, Reason Digital covers many of the bases that a burgeoning charity, educational institution, or social enterprise group needs to raise awareness and funds.

Rather than focusing on monetisation, the company acts more like a charity in its focus on the improvement of lives over financial viability. To those ends, Reason Digital was seed funded by Social Tech Trust in 2014 but since then has kept its head above water independently.

In 2019, Reason Digital entered a new period of growth and development by adding several new board members to its team. The success of the company thus far is exemplified by the weight of the new appointments, including legal experts in media, a general counsel for Bloomberg LP, and a global strategist for HSBC.
