Rebolet's mission is to rescue one billion items from destruction to leave our planet more sustainable by making re-commerce accessible to any online retailer.
The increasing ease with which consumers can return goods has led to a huge rise in retail and e-commerce returns. Indeed, it’s estimated that around 15% of items are returned.
The reverse logistics involved in managing these returns leads many sellers to simply cutting their losses and allowing their goods to go to waste. This is what Rebolet is trying to tackle with its tech platform, which enables them to get their goods back in front of consumers as swiftly and smoothly as possible.
The offshoot is reduced waste (a big sustainability plus), a new revenue stream (a big business plus), and a less expensive end sale (a big consumer plus).
Founded in 2018, Rebolet has taken a slow and steady approach to its expansion – probably a wise decision given just how much warehousing space it may eventually need. However, with the recommerce market going through a serious growth phase, Rebolet is in a good position to scale.
