Reef App's mission is to showcase wellbeing-promoting venues where forward-thinking teams can work, collaborate, and socialise.
Reef is an interesting young company looking to tackle one of the more widespread and less-discussed work issues that have arisen over recent years. Distributed workforces make for tricky logistics when it comes to the hiring out of company office space; additionally, working from home can adversely affect both the wellbeing and productivity of individual employees. Reef’s solution is to help companies book in team space at a number of partnered hospitality venues across the UK, like pubs and cafes.
Reef already have a good number of UK establishments signed up to the program - and this is unsurprising, as it provides a smart way of potentially optimising revenue for the cost of a discount on food and drink served. Users also have access to a professional network and discord channel for additional value.
Reef are operating in several locations across the UK. They may need to build out their incentives even further to garner the attention necessary for a socially-oriented venture to flourish. In particular, they will need to push their case hard to compete with the ad-hoc hiring of shared workspace.
