Our take
America’s decades-long retirement crisis is deepening, with roughly half of older citizens reporting that they lack the funds to maintain their standard of living if they were to leave work. Experts are urging people to adopt smarter, proactive approaches to individual retirement planning. This is where companies like Retirable come in.
Founded in 2019, the company offers retirement planning services to lower-income American citizens for whom this kind of support has historically been out of financial reach. It’s an approach that will help them open up a whole new market, and a large one too, creating a revenue model that’s unique for this industry - and potentially one with great longevity.
In spite of being in a relatively early stage, Retirable already works with over 50,000 clients to plan, invest, and monitor their retirement savings. It’s made impressive progress, which provides solid ground for future growth.
