Company mission

Reveri's mission is to make hypnosis mainstream and help hundreds of millions of people benefit from it by learning how to manage conditions such as stress, chronic pain, insomnia, overeating, and addiction.

Our take

Reveri is an eye-catching company. The founding team partners a seasoned entrepreneur with a laureled professor of medicine, working to mainstream hypnosis through a mobile app. The process is simple: users have access to a small number of short self-hypnosis videos, and can use them on a regular basis to help alleviate stress and pain, and address issues like addiction.

Whilst the hypnosis label makes it sound like a niche offering, the Reveri experience is in fact just a stone’s throw from what you would see with guided meditation or mindfulness apps. Following the digital wellness boom, these markets have ballooned in size, so Reveri’s development and recent launch should see it profit from the tailwind.

In fact, whilst the app itself is cut from the familiar cloth of a digital self-care tool, Reveri have been wise to capitalise on the left-of-field reputation of hypnosis. It’s won the company some good coverage, including on the popular Andrew Huberman podcast, and especially over the pandemic period when many turned to similar mental health apps. If it can continue pushing for broader exposure, Reveri could see some impressive uptake - it should fit neatly into the digital wellness market.
