To bring fresh innovation to the world’s dominant form of storage: pumped hydro storage.
Our take
The world is in the midst of a climate crisis, and large foundational changes need to be made to everyday systems in order to mitigate this. RheEnergise believes it can contribute to this mitigation with its energy generation and storage solution, known as High-Density Hydro.
While hydro power solutions do exist already, they require the steep slopes of mountains to work. RheEnergise's systems stand out because they can be put into smaller hills, because the fluid it uses is denser than water. It is also a more cost-effective approach, offering the greatest flexibility to the power grid.
RheEnergise is in a market where the scale of opportunity is growing massively. And, with little direct competition, it's positioned rather excellently to capitalise on this. The company has also raised strong funding, and in 2026 announced the success of its first project in Devon - which is now generating electricity.
