Homebuyers will know the frustration and cost involved when a real estate deal fails to close – and this is the problem that Ribbon is out to solve. The platform brings technology to the home buying experience, which helps speed up the process as well as bring more certainty to customers.
One way the company achieves such certainty is through its offer of guaranteed closing. If a homebuyer fails to close with a mortgage on time, Ribbon buys and reserves the home on behalf of the homebuyer and leases it to them for up to six months.
Ribbon, which saw 15x growth in 2021, has raised over $400M in equity funding, which will enable more than $10B in home transactions annually whilst accelerating the company's expansion across US states.
