To make electric vehicle charging easier than old-school refuelling
40% female employees
Ever since the UK government’s announcement that it will ban the sale of new petrol and diesel engine vehicles in the 2030s, EV ownership has grown significantly in popularity. In fact, it is estimated that 10 million people will make the switch over the next 10 years and it is purchases by businesses and fleets that are driving demand. There is more choice than ever for cars, chargers and energy tariffs. Thousands of businesses hand out 'fuel cards' to pay for fuel for their company vehicle. However, this becomes hugely complicated when that vehicle is electric.
Rightcharge is setting out to solve this with their Electric Fuel Card. Businesses hand a Rightcharge card to their employee, which can be used on different over 30 public charging networks. They can also cover their employees' home charging costs by paying off part of their energy bill via Rightcharge's split-billing technology. Finally, they can gather data on workplace charging to give the business 360-degree management of all EV charging costs in their fleet.
This product launches Rightcharge into the B2B market, having covered the B2C market since 2019, and they're taking on multi-billion dollar global giants in the fuel card market. They believe they have the technical advantage to win and they're building the team to scale.
