Our take

Founded in 2009 and used by major companies like GitHub, jetBlue, and Alaska, Reciprocity has built a strong reputation in the cyber risk management industry. While there’s no shortage of legacy and startup companies in the field, many of whom offer a single platform, Reciprocity offers a number of them.

Its latest release, the Risk Observation, Assessment, and Remediation (ROAR) platform has seen the company gain serious momentum, breaking its own sales records and winning major funding from Francisco Partners.

A great deal of the work behind the ROAR Platform was credited to seasoned software entrepreneur Michael Maggio, who joined Reciprocity as Chief Product Officer in 2021. Indeed, Maggio was recently promoted to CEO – a strong show of faith that the company is heading in a positive direction.
