Our take

In the card payments space, dispute management and compliance processes are a crucial part of operations. Yet, classic procedures can be time-heavy and inefficient. Rivero supplies products that allow card payments players to automate payment and compliance operations, allowing them to focus on other business aspects.

Rivero was founded in 2019, and has two main products: Amiko, a fraud recovery and dispute management solution, and Kajo, a solution for scheme license compliance. Amiko covers the whole lifecycle of a dispute, and is able to replace any existing dispute management systems, making it a good option for digitisation. Kajo is the first solution of its kind, which automates the administrative part of the compliance process.

Rivero boasts an impressive client list of over 30 financial services companies and banks. In 2022, it joined Visa Fintech Partner Connect, a program that provides Visa customers with access to trusted technology partners. Its $7 million funding round shows the value its products have to the established industry and allows the company to reach more clients.
