Our take

For modern travellers, staying connected while abroad is crucial, but roaming charges can make this a costly venture. To combat this, Roamless is building the world's first global travel connectivity app - to make keeping in touch while travelling easier.

While there are some alternatives to roaming, Roamless recognises that these are often cumbersome to use. For example, eSim services may provide country-specific sims that are inconvenient for those visiting multiple countries. This is why the company prioritises ease-of-use, collecting everything in one place so that travellers only need the Roamless app to stay connected - no matter where they go.

Having secured strong funding, Roamless is looking to expand network coverage, scale its go-to-market and customer support efforts, and enhance its partnerships. Its ultimate aim is to become what it calls the world’s first "truly global mobile operator", an interesting proposition that we will enjoy watching take shape.
