Our take
Roi is under development by Vega Labs, a fintech company looking to “bring the openness of web3 to every investing economy”. What this appears to cash out as in practice with Roi, is a democratization of access to knowledge about investment.
Roi are currently in Beta and are setting out to be the one stop shop for all investing needs, with support for everything from stocks and retirement to crypto, NFTs, and collectibles. Currently, they're working to organize the world's investment opportunities into a single platform that makes it easy to track what users own, discover new opportunities that are right for them, and invest in those those assets with ease.
The startup have raised funding from the likes of Spark Capital, Balaji Srinivasan, and Gradient Ventures (Google). They are also backed by an experienced founding team who have spent the last few years building, designing, and scaling products at Airbnb to over 10M+ hosts around the world.
