Being part of a company which is growing so rapidly is very exciting - there are always new projects and plenty of opportunities to learn new skills. This learning is a big part of the job for me, being able to solve problems from researching possible solutions to their eventual deployment is very rewarding. There is definitely more potential for progression and taking on responsibility because of this momentum we're building.

I'm getting to work with some real state-of-the-art technologies while at Route Reports, deploying algorithms on our devices and seeing them perform in the way we expect is a great feeling! I love having the chance to experiment; no one expects everything to work perfectly first time, so there is a lot of freedom to try possible solutions as part of the development process.

There is such a good atmosphere in the Route Reports team. I find it very motivating being in a team of people who are dynamic enough to welcome all our incoming projects and technical challenges. The company funded Go Karting, drinks and food is always a bonus too!

I can plan and guide a significant part of what my work weeks look like and I just love that kind of autonomy. Two big reasons for that - I am more likely to feel engaged with my tasks and, most importantly, I find myself having to think rather than just execute and the growth from that is so much more noticeable.

Autonomy

The leadership here has never once made demands of my being available to reply at all hours or start and finish work at set times. While there are times where you are expected to be around, there is a clear focus on the results of your work. No one cares for your ability to stretch work to fill the time you are paid for. This is especially important for me because I do prioritize family time and every once in a while my children get sick or have some errand that I'm needed for.

The product we offer here helps improve our society and it's a product I understand. Making transportation easier to manage has a direct impact on improving the lives of people of all walks of life.

At Route Reports, we are constantly building and improving our products and processes. Just like our company is about developing a product, to do so, we also have to develop ourselves and learn. Learning is part of the journey and we have support, time and a generous development budget to be able to learn. For me, that was an essential criterion when deciding which company to join and I am so glad to see I learn something new every week, whether it's using a new software, a new process or learning about the industry.

At Route Reports, we focus on impact rather than on "how to" do things. We have clear and exciting objectives in all areas as the business is growing fast and we have then have lots of autonomy to achieve them. Combined with the opportunity to learn, we are working with an entrepreneurial mindset. Micromanagement is not something we do at Route Reports!

Everyone is so nice and humble at Route Reports, yet super skilled. We work together to develop a great product for our customers, helping each other without competing with each other. And even though we work a lot remotely, we always enjoy meeting as a team for a day together at WeWork, a diner or a go karting session together. And the regular zoom meetings are also a great way to both work and bond.
