Our take
Ever missed an appointment because you put in your work calendar, not your personal one? Couldn’t find that all-important link because you couldn’t remember which email it was sent to? Routine aims to solve these kind of problems, with its centralised calendar and notes app.
Its two selling points are simplicity and synchronicity. On its desktop app, a keyboard shortcut brings up a screen overlay into which you type ‘meeting with John Smith 9pm Wednesday’ - appointment made and added to calendar. Simple. It also boats integrations with Google and Apple (including Siri), as well as Notion, Slack and more.
It's early days for the company, but it has integrated its platform with its major competitors - a smart move - and boasts endorsement from senior figures at Apple, Tesla, Instagram and MIT. It exists within a crowded market, but manages to stand out to an impressive extent for such a young company.
