Our take
Rouvia was founded in 2021 as a sustainable logistics platform, aiding delivery and freight companies in connecting all of their transport options and routes with the intention of making them more environmentally friendly and efficient. In much the same way as cloud databases, Rouvia, formerly Forwardize, integrates all aspects of logistics and planning so as to avoid the need for planning silos and increasing visibility throughout the process.
As many companies look to offset their carbon footprints, Rouvia strives not to offset but to reduce, all whilst uncovering economic benefits as well. Its pitch has turned heads due to the potential money saved and has helped it to secure $3.2 Million in early VC from the likes of American logistics investors Dynamo VC and Entrepreneur First.
Moving forwards, Rouvia plans to tackle the over reliance on trucks for transport and provide alternative solutions including the use of waterways and electric vehicles. That being said, there’s still much work to be done, especially with a lack of data on the alternative transport methods, a gap that Rouvia could also plug with its multifaceted software.
