Company mission

To provide the media analysis and insight that businesses and communicators need in today’s fast moving marketplace - allowing them to effectively target journalists and news outlets around the world.

Our take

The media industry is bigger than ever, with a huge number of outlets commenting on all manner of topics. If companies want to make sure they stay on the right side of the press, ensuring they are up to date with journalistic trends is crucial if they want to facilitate effective communication with the journalist communities and boost their PR. This is where Roxhill Media comes in. Its real-time, topic-led media intelligence database enables enables businesses and communicators to effectively target journalists and news outlets around the world.

Roxhill’s innovative technology goes beyond the traditional journalist database model. Enriched with in-depth media data, analysis of articles by topic and company sector, and with integrated social media search tools, the company enables organisations to analyse stories written about them with greater ease, accuracy and efficiency. This greater level of understanding translates to greater control of PR - ensuring companies get the right message across.

Roxhill has already proven popular with a number of high-profile clients ranging from commercial law firms like Freshfields and Allen & Overy to charity organisations such as JustGiving and the Mental Health Foundation. Roxhill competes with the UK's leader in media intelligence - Gorkana - and though the two share the same founder in Alex Northcott, competition for market share is fierce. As the new(er) kid on the block, Roxhill will be hoping that it can learn from Gorkana's success and develop these insights in order to do the same job better. If it can do this, Roxhill has the potential to really shake up the media intelligence market.
