To leverage digital disruption to shift the high profit, low-risk environment of human trafficking and squeeze the criminal business to zero profit.
STOP THE TRAFFIK is a non-profit which seeks to prevent human trafficking on a global scale. While the charity focuses heavily on business outreach and awareness raising campaigns, its in-house venture Traffik Analysis Hub is the world’s first international data hub designed specifically to share information about human trafficking across all industries.
It’s estimated that today there are around 40 million people trapped by modern slavery, a frankly shocking number. Indeed, while the clandestine nature of human trafficking obscures the full truth, the industry is estimated to be worth around $150 Billion per year.
Since STOP THE TRAFFIK was launched in 2006, initially as a two year campaign, it's become one of the most disruptive organisations in the fight against human trafficking. Now, with the help of big data insights, the non-profit is aiming to scale up its global operations and ultimately, its impact.
