To become the leading platform for hosting mentoring schemes across the UK HE sector and beyond, helping to solve common problems that crop up when managing schemes at scale. Offering industry expertise along with our platform SUMAC we're well equipped to achieve our goals.
For companies wanting to grow the skillsets of their staff, mentoring can be an effective and useful tool, but many struggle to manage self-implemented programs, or do not even know where to start. SUMAC Mentoring provides customisable programs for organisations to implement mentoring programs without the hassle, and allow them to make the most of this vital training tool.
SUMAC was created at the University of St Andrews to support existing coaching schemes, which were burdened by data management issues, being mostly reliant on time-heavy spreadsheet analysis. By improving data reporting, and streamlining administrative processes, organisations can do more mentoring with the same or less resources, and with a lesser time burden for mentors and mentees alike.
SUMAC Mentoring supports schemes in universities such as the University of Dundee, the University of Exeter and the University of Leeds, with capabilities to support charities, third sector, and small and large businesses. As the popularity of in-company mentoring schemes is increasing, SUMAC has the potential to expand operations alongside this influx of interest.
