Our take

Saltbox is tackling the rising demand for eCommerce company storage space through a network of flexible, purpose-built warehouses across the USA. With small businesses struggling to scale up due to hefty overheads and rental prices, Saltbox’s suite of on-site services, fulfilment centers, and storage space helps manage growth and demand.

Disrupting the warehouse industry with what it calls “co-warehousing”, Saltbox also helps companies with logistics problems such as equipment rental. With 10 sites across the country, 2022 funding will allow Saltbox to open new warehouses in Miami, Minneapolis, and Phoenix.

Going up against the likes of Amazon is no mean feat, and Saltbox must keep up its rapid growth to continue being a more lucrative alternative to the corporation's worldwide fulfillment centers. Amazon is often been the go-to distribution partner for small eCommerce businesses, but Saltbox stands out from larger competitors by being not only an operational vendor but a source of knowledge and consultancy partner for its clients.
