Our take

Fast growing companies often don't have the time, resources or expertise to focus on great hiring practices, despite it being such a high value activity. This makes it difficult to hire effectively, which can negatively impact businesses. This is the problem Scene wants to overturn.

Compared to typical agency recruiters, the company offers a middle-ground where they "loan" a recruiter to work in the customer's offices for a number of months to build out hiring capabilities. This allows businesses to focus on higher impact company-related tasks. Further, with more effective hires made through Scede, is more likely to result in productivity in the long run.

The business model is smart as it means that the company continues to grow its knowledge and understanding of the market, ready to provide this value to new customers. Further, having successfully launched in the Netherlands, Sweden and Romania in 2021, Scede has raised significant funding to accelerate its international expansion plans, and scale its global supplier network.
