Our take

Scholar is a recruitment app designed for recent university and college graduates to better target the right jobs for the start of their careers. From internships to entry-level positions, Scholar aims to improve the candidate experience by finessing communication between employers and potential hirees.

On Scholar, students can create profiles that better help companies analyse whether they would be the right fit for their workplace, thus streamlining the hiring process to a personalised and transparent level. When Scholar was founded, the three co-founders were recent graduates themselves and saw how beneficial an entry-level recruitment platform could be for others like them.

With companies such as eBay, Dell and Lyft searching for young talent on Scholar, the company, currently focused on US graduate markets, is steadily growing its database of companies and interviewees, carving an entry-level niche in the increasingly competitive recruitment market.
