Our take

The US student debt burden is gargantuan and ever-growing, causing more and more college applicants to turn to scholarships to secure funds for their education. But the environment is highly competitive, requiring multiple applications to maximise the chances of winning funds – all of which take time and effort that students should be free to spend elsewhere.

ScholarshipOwl provides a way to reduce time-spent on applications, and access all scholarships a student is eligible for, vastly improving the chances that they secure financial help. Once students fill out a central form, all application forms they choose to submit will be populated with this information automatically, allowing students to focus on the personal parts of applications such as essays.

The company currently operates in the US, but has its sights set on entering other markets, particularly for students who wish to study abroad. It has experienced strong popularity since its launch, and continues towards making education more accessible through additions such as a Guide to College Scholarships, and community-focussed features.
