Scribbr is one of the world’s leading academic proofreading and editing services for students, operating globally and in ten languages. With a team of over 500 freelance editors and advanced software, including quality control and plagiarism detection algorithms, Scribbr makes sure students receive their polished essays in as little as 24 hours.
A lean Startup approach, process automation, and low spending in the early years has enabled the company to scale robustly without seeking investment. Since its 2012 foundation, Scribbr has grown steadily through its visibility online, ranking number one on Google searches in the Netherlands just six months after launch.
The company has grown impressively in Germany and France, and its main aim for the coming years is to continue expansion in the US. It will do this by scaling up local customer services to mitigate the transatlantic time difference and increasing online visibility. Furthermore, its 2022 acquisition by California-based learning platform Course Hero will aid in this scale-up.
