Secret Cinema's mission is to create ‘worlds’ that turn films and music into real life, large-scale cultural experiences.
Founded in 2007, Secret Cinema has proven to be one of the UK entertainment industry’s modern success stories. The production company creates immersive film and theatre experiences at a secret location, inviting audience members to dress as cast members and be part of the story.
The company has garnered praise for its productions of shows like Stranger Things, Back to the Future, and Star Wars, selling over one million tickets and signing deals with major film companies Disney, Marvel, Universal, and Paramount.
TodayTix, a US-based cultural experience company, recently acquired Secret Cinema in a deal with well north of $100 million and created a new base in LA. This acquisition will drive the company’s efforts to break into the US market and even further internationally – something that it’s been eyeing up for a number of years.
