Secretarium offers financial services companies a distributed confidential computing platform which leverages secure hardware and cryptography to protect data being processed, even on machines which have been corrupted by malicious software.
Founded in 2016, the company hasn’t made many of its clientele public knowledge, but one known customer is French multinational investment bank Société Générale (SocGen).
Secretarium is operating in a lucrative, albeit competitive, environment, with the global Data Protection-as-a-Service market valued at nearly $20 billion and forecast to grow by around 30% annually for the foreseeable future.
Interestingly, the company seems to be making a move into the Central Bank Digital Currency (CBDC) field, also known as GovCoins. This could prove to be a very fruitful channel for Secretarium considering that the majority of the world's central banks are either deploying or exploring this novel concept of digital fiat currencies.
