Our take
For the last few decades, running a website or networking service has required a server to be continuously turned on. This is regardless of whether a service is actually receiving data from the server, a process that is inefficient both in terms of cost, energy, and maintenance.
Serverless provides an integrated cloud-based server solution that only uses computing resources that are required for an immediate function. This is achieved through an autonomous framework that recognizes when connections need to be made, at which point it automatically handles these routine tasks. In addition to basic server functions, Serverless aims to act as an end-to-end networking solution, providing autonomous end-to-end functions for network monitoring and security.
The serverless framework is available for free as open-source code, and as an accessible and highly visual dashboard for a subscription fee. Whilst other companies are providing frameworks for serverless technology, the autonomous and accessible nature of Serverless provides a unique approach that can be accessed without a background in server infrastructure.
