Company mission

Skarper's mission is to transform any bicycle into an eBike, with no modification required to the frame or wheels, and without compromise on performance.

Our take

Electric bikes present significantly faster and more convenient alternatives to traditional bicycles whilst presenting cleaner alternatives to mobility solutions such as mopeds, but these benefits come at a cost. eBikes generally require large and heavy electric batteries and mechanisms to work smoothly, and adapting regular bicycles to be powered by electricity requires significant modification that can be expensive and complicated.

Skarper develops technology that can be applied directly to any bicycle to transform it into an eBike, without requiring any modification to the wheels or frame, and without compromising the bicycle’s performance.

EBikes are a major trend in the mobility sector, so the company will face competition from micromobility providers and eBike developers alike. However, the company’s approach to providing modular technology that can be applied to transform any bicycle into an eBike is smart, preventing the need for costly purchases, reducing the weight and size of electric mechanisms, and ultimately making eBikes more convenient.
