To provide learning that is core to how an engineering team operates, not an add-on or an after-thought but aligns with business priorities and changes what the team is capable of.
Given the rapid pace of growth in tech, developers are in constant need of upskill to keep up. Skiller Whale offers an online live training platform for tech teams to upskill via skills assessment and small expert-led classes.
Tech training schemes exist but are usually expensive and intensive, weeklong or more courses, which many start-ups can’t afford or risk losing their dev team to. Skiller Whale remedies this by offering live, intensive coaching which is affordable and sustainable. The subscription model allows companies to opt in and out at their free will.
Skiller Whale plans to use seed funding, led by Brighteye Ventures, to scale up its on-job learning offers. In doing so, the company will enable increased flexibility and easier integration with tech teams’ schedules. There are plans to expand offerings beyond language-specific coaching to broader topics such as writing clean code, as well as soft skills like time management.
