Our take
Skimmer is a software app that helps pool businesses run their services digitally through one platform. Bypassing field service management software, Skimmer aims to modernise, automate tasks and economise the way that swimming pools and spas are run.
At the beginning of 2022, Skimmer proved itself a US leader in the spa and pool app business when it announced $5 million in additional funding. Interestingly, their investment came from Unbundled Capital, an investment company that was founded by Jack Nelson, half of the founding duo of Skimmer. With founding partners involved in investment themselves, Skimmer has the buoyancy to float, even in tough economic times.
Skimmer has claimed that it will invest its most recent funds into development, marketing, and customer success, and has also added new members to its leadership team.
