Company mission

SlashData's mission is to help the world understand developers.

12% employee growth in 12 months

Our take

SlashData was founded as the analyst of the developer economy by conducting developer surveys, helping top tech firms to understand who developers are, what tools they use, and predicting where they're going next.

As well as being performance-driven, SlashData operates on three core principles. These are: self-development, its culture of having fun solving complex challenges together, and having an impact on the world through helping its customers.

With this approach, SlashData has become the leading research company in the developer economy, surveying over 40,000 developers across more than 150 countries annually across mobile, IoT, desktop, cloud AR/VR and machine learning.

This helps clients, including Google, Amazon, Intel, and Microsoft, to understand developer behaviour and optimise their performance. SlashData forecasts the developer economy to grow to roughly 45 million by 2030, and is looking at new approaches such as app extensions for third-party ecosystems, like CRM and ERP, and voice platforms, to meet the challenge.
