To pool together the world’s finest AI creators in a single marketplace and remove the red tape that businesses face when trying to source AI solutions.

Our take

Smarter is trying to democratise AI and Machine Learning access by making them accessible to small-medium enterprises (SMEs) via its marketplace platform. AI creators looking to diversify their opportunities, and companies looking to leverage AI at a lower cost can each register on the platform. Building an App Store-style model specifically for AI – as well as an AI creator economy – is an ambitious undertaking for Smarter.

The AI market is expected to grow tenfold over the next few years as adoption of the tech becomes more important at all business levels. Thus far it has been dominated by Big Tech however, and only a tiny percentage of companies have the resources to develop AI solutions in-house – hence the need for a more accessible and affordable outsourcing and purchasing.

Smarter is still in its early stages, but the AI and tech experience of its co-founding trio should stand the company in good stead, as should the early VC backing of Fuel Ventures and Hambro Perks.
