Our take

Home-delivered furniture can often conjure logistical nightmares. Delivery delays and the act of actually installing a pre-built purchase in the room you want can be massively problematic. Snug Furniture has built a sofa in a box that can be easily and compactly delivered so that the customer can install it themselves without worrying about corridor and doorway sizes.

Snug’s modular sofas don’t even require tools to build, placing the company a cut above the likes of IKEA. Simplicity and economy are key but don’t take away from the comfort factor of the company’s furniture.

Snug had a very promising start as an industry disruptor, growing its sales exponentially between 2019 and 2022. However, stormy economic climates saw a downturn that led to growth plans being put on hold. Snug made the savvy move of putting itself up for sale, leading to its acquisition by ScS Group, which preserved all jobs and will help Snug retain and grow its customer base. Now a subsidiary of ScS, Snug has reinstalled itself as a unique force within the furniture market.
