The traditional energy market has been dominated by the big 6 companies for decades. Consumer energy in the UK has long been associated with rising prices, poor customer service and high profits for incumbent firms.
So Energy has a great reputation among its customers, rated above 4/5 on Trustpilot, whereas the larger energy companies are all rated as 1/5 or below. Due to the fact that So Energy is one of the few carbon-neutral energy providers, the company resonates with its millennial customer base in particular.
It will be key for So Energy to keep up great customer service and acquisition methods as it moves forward (as its currently reliant on generous referral policies).
