To design a better world through decentralized technologies.
Decentralized technology is revolutionizing payments across the globe, with the promise of making economic interactions between different countries far easier than traditional systems. Soramitsu is developing the infrastructure to enable this decentralization across Southeast Asia, with a number of blockchain-powered projects for the region.
Some of the company's projects include a permissioned blockchain platform for managing digital assets, named Hyperledger Iroha; a Real-Time Gross Payments System named Bakong; and "Fraud Intelligence Limited", which is designed to be to a trusted global source of shared fraud intelligence. Many of its projects are collaborative endeavours, with impressive partners such as the National Bank of Cambodia, the Japanese Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry, and the Klaytn Foundation.
Such partnerships demonstrate that Soramitsu is well-respected in its field, and the company has ambitions to capitalise on this as it expands its services. The Bakong project alone has already being used to facilitate billions in transactions between Cambodia and its neighbouring nations, with plans to cover India, China, and Laos within its network next.
