To build the first end-to-end fashion ecosystem on the blockchain
The concept of the Metaverse - virtual-reality spaces in which users can interact - has been launched into the spotlight on the crest of huge amounts of investment into the Web3.0 and crypto-space more widely. With the advent of NFTs, more and more attention has been paid to what identity looks like in these new spaces.
Space Runners is the first fashion metaverse brand answering these questions. It is focused on two main services: interoperable fashion items for any Metaverse and building its own Fashion Metaverse which gamifies fashion with a ‘Wear2Earn’ economy becoming a new sales channel for traditional brands entering the space for the first time.
On both fronts, the team has achieved impressive results. Not only is it the largest NFT community on Solana, they have recruited NBA superstars to sponsor its drops creating more hype for its growing community.
The biggest challenge will be continuing this momentum even while the market climate of crypto struggles. Moreover, while the Wear2Earn promise could succeed, similar Play2Earn models like at AxelInfinity have come under fire for perpetuating Ponzi-like schemes which may put off traditional fashion brands nervous about this fast-moving and somewhat chaotic world.
