To empower students to thrive.
Student Beans was founded in 2005 by James and Michael Eder, who named the company after the British student staple: baked beans. The two brothers, both recent university graduates at the time, saw a gap in the market for a digital student loyalty platform that would give students exclusive discounts on the brands they love, whilst connecting retailers to this key consumer demographic.
Today, Student Beans partners with hundreds of the world’s biggest brands, including Topshop, Domino's, Google and McDonald's, driving sales of over $1.5b a year from its global network of over 150 million student customers. The company is considered one of the fastest-growing private tech companies in Britain, having reached The Sunday Times Tech Track 100 two years in a row.
Student Beans has an incredibly exciting journey ahead, with ambitious goals and many opportunities for outsized growth. It success will depend on it continuing to grow its customer base by onboarding new generations of students while maintaining a compelling value proposition for its partner brands.
