The onboarding process at SunGod was by far the most extensive onboarding experience I've ever completed. The Head of People & Planet has gone to great lengths to ensure that the onboarding process allows you to come to terms with what you should expect from your role and what your role expects from you. The onboarding process typically lasts ~1 month and can be completed at your discreation. You have full control of what you complete and when you complete it which is a breath of fresh air. The onboarding process being done at your own speed meant that you do not have to "shadow" other team members from day 1, which means you don't take up other team member's time unnecessarily. There is some really engaging and positive learning opportunities within the onboarding process that go above and beyond your job role. 10/10.

Although the work environment is very fast-paced, the challenging nature of the work makes days disappear - in the best way possible. You don't feel like your doing work when you are in the middle of your day. You are given the opportunity to work in a challenging environment and when you complete the work it is noticed and rewarded by everyone in the business.

There's very much a flat table - Regular catch ups ensure that if you've an idea, you can share it without fear or recrimination. If you do so, and justify it well, you'll often get autonomy over that project.

Taking on those projects means a lot of work and this is appreciated, though expected. That reward can come in verbal congrats or reassurance, but also, effort is made to make that reward something that helps you pursue the sports/outdoor pursuits you love.

The culture really does come from the very top at SunGod. Ali and Zoe, the two co-founders and co-CEOs, make it very clear that we're expected to make full use of our generous holiday allowance (30 days) and flexible working opportunities.
