To build a new breed of games that are rethinking the sports genre.
The rise of mobile gaming has led to plenty of variety across most genres, but when it comes to sports gaming, the legacy studios like EA are still way ahead of the pack.
SuperTeam Games believes that this has led to a stagnation amongst the big franchises. It’s aiming to disrupt the market with cross platform, blockchain-enabled multiplayer games, complete with embeddable token wallets, NFT minting, and trading.
This seems a tall task, but web 3.0’s emergence has created a huge opportunity for gaming innovation, and the SuperTeam Games leadership should be taken very seriously. Each of the founding quartet has been in the Sports Gaming industry for the better part of thirty years, and have collective experience from the likes of EA, Capcom, Zynga, and Glu Mobile.
The company has released one title thus far, STG Football, but with funding from Griffin Gaming Partners, there should be more to follow.
