Halal Grocery Delivery Platform
Jump to section
Suqi's mission is to provide aculinary bridge between their customers’ cultural home and current home.
Expected launched in May 2022, Suqi is a new local entrant to the burgeoning fast-delivery groceries sector. Suqi’s app will allow customers to shop online for Arab world goods, and have them home delivered on the same day.
Suqi’s focus is London, with plans to expand to the UK more broadly. This is likely to prove a fertile market: the company offers a broad range of halal food and groceries, and whilst London’s merchants have begun stocking more halal goods, they’re by no means as easy to find as non-halal products. When you consider the fact that Muslims make up nearly 15% of the capital’s population, Suqi is promising to fill a remarkably overlooked market niche.
When it comes to direct competitors, again there’s surprisingly few on the scene. Existing halal delivery services in the UK focus predominantly on meats, and groceries service The Halal Food Shop as of yet doesn’t offer fresh produce like fruit and vegetables. Nor, crucially, do their competitors offer the same-day-delivery service that is increasingly proving a make-or-break edge in the groceries market. So Suqi is bringing a proven concept to a radically underserved demographic, and looks likely to enjoy a confident product launch.
