Suvera was created after its founder learned how poorly patients were supported by the healthcare system in order to learn about their medications. The company is a virtual care service working with GP surgeries across the UK to provide patients with long-term conditions with quality reviews, management, and follow-up care from their homes.
Today, Suvera's service specialises in patients with high blood pressure and diabetes and is expanding to cover other long-term health conditions such as asthma. With more frequent and accurately collected measurements the company helps practices paint a more robust picture of an individual’s condition without the need of seeing the patient face-to-face. Suvera believes its offer of a virtual follow-up allows patients’ conditions to be monitored more regularly, accurately, and conveniently. This data saves patients time and removes the need for unnecessary trips to the GP.
Suvera is now Care Quality Commission registered, which is a certification required before providing healthcare services. With this, the company has a greater degree of confidence in the services it provides, giving users confidence that Suvera is currently providing healthcare according to best practices.

Suvera is a 'work from home first' company and it has truly lived up to this. This has allowed me to take stay-cations and only come to the office as it suited me right from my first week. I had the best onboarding ever! It was very well organised, I was given time to absorb a lot of things, including intensive training that is required of a CQC registered organisation. Importantly, my manager was extremely thorough in setting out expectations for 30:30:90 days and articulating what is expected of me in my role and how my work interfaces with other parts of the company. People here are very quick to recognise when you do anything that has improved a process or added value in any way. When I left my last role, I did not think that it was going to be easy to match the camaraderie and team focus but I have to say, the culture is incredibly inclusive and it is very organic. I have nothing but great things to say about my experience.

I met the CEO in my interview process and was impressed at his leadership style. He is a thinker, he talks about sustainable growth - so important in startup world - and he talks about creativity in problem solving and fixing processes. Working alongside our NHS GP partners, even getting the opportunity to meet some of the staff on the ground, allows us to understand what the UK healthcare sector is facing and gives us the context necessary to create the best solutions to these problems. As a small tech team, we have a flat hierarchy which is most well-embodied in the fact that engineers of all levels are given the opportunity to lead on projects.
