TG0's mission is to create 3D interactive surfacing and control products for the next generation of automotive interiors, consumer electronics and gaming consoles.
Our take
TGO hopes to revolutionise the world of controls, from gaming consoles to car dash panels. As it stands these technologies are rigid to use and expensive and complicated to manufacture. TG0 are creating soft, flexible 3D controls made from touch sensitive materials that are easier and cheaper to produce than existing controls made from thousands of complex sensors.
The company believes buttons are on the way out. Its first product, etee, is a first of its kind, button free VR controller. It is controlled by finger proximity, touch, pressure and gesture rather than buttons, and is currently being researched in post-stroke recovery therapy to examine how feasible and useful using VR is in relation to other methods.
It is unlikely that TG0's innovative products will stop there, as the technology can be integrated into a whole host of applications. The company recently partnered with Novares to introduce its technology to reduce road and engine noise, and haptic touch controls and stylish displays.
