Our take

Traditional services for money transfer to developing countries are often slow, expensive, inconvenient and have limited reach in rural areas. Taptap Send is tapping into the rising global mobile money market to facilitate convenient, secure and fast money transfers.

The Taptap Send app allows users to make instant, no fee transfers from a European bank account directly into a mobile money account abroad. Its ease-of-use, low fees and speed has set Taptap apart from rival solutions, including traditional money wiring services.

Since launching in 2018 Taptap Send has reached tens of thousands of customers and has moved millions of dollars back to developing countries. Initially launched in Africa, Taptap is now active in 29 countries, including Lebanon and Pakistan. This is a positive indicator of the app's success and potential for expansion into new territories.
