Our take
The founder of Tassomai, Murray Morisson, was once a professional jazz musician who supplemented his income by teaching science to students. He realised that there are similarities between learning science and music, as perseverance and patience are required to excel at both. This realisation motivated him to take the principles he learned as a professional musician and teach students how to practice successfully in order to excel in science. This is why Tassomai was created.
Tassomai is an online learning platform that helps students to learn effectively. The platform analyses the subject that a student wants to learn and creates quizzes encompassing everything the student needs to know in order to excel at that subject.
It differentiates itself from competitors through additional features that help students learn more effectively, such as repeating quizzes in order to ensure the student retained the knowledge, using AI to understand levels of understanding, and adapting the content of the quizzes based on that.
According to Tassomai, almost all students improve in their academic performance as they use the platform, but the learning effect is stronger for students with a lower initial understanding of a subject. Due to this, Tassomai's current challenge is finding ways to attract more schools, such as its recent addition of Live Lessons, to use the platform and improve the use of AI.
