Tempo is a fully integrated home workout suite, offering workouts and equipment to help people achieve their fitness goals. With the rise of the home training market, the company's personalized experiences from cardio and strength training to yoga and boxing are valuable to people who can’t afford a personal trainer, or prefer not to visit a physical studio.
With Tempo's 3D imaging, customers can get real time posture corrections and find out what they are doing wrong immediately. Machine learning algorithms map progress and help to plan tailored workouts as well as offering real time data sharing for the live classes, bridging the gap between people and their trainers to deliver the same quality expected from an in-person experience.
There is competition for space in the US fitness industry from incumbents like Peloton and Tonal, but Tempo’s software and machine learning AI technology carved a space in the market. It has won design awards for its products including from GQ and Time, and has been backed by investors such as YCombinator and SoftBank.
