Our take

Weddings are known to be one of the most stressful events in life, with the mountain of planning and the usually high expectations, it's no surprise wedding planning often brings out bridezilla/groomzilla.

That's The One is a wedtech startup building an OS that aims to take away the pains of traditional wedding planning. From the initial RSVPs, to supplier payments and guest logistics, That's The One is reducing the hundreds of hours it takes to plan a wedding so brides and grooms can focus on what really matters.

Free to use for professional planners and their couples, That's The One is still an early startup but already is being adopted by wedding planners all around the world. Currently the company is backed by Playfair Capital and VentureFriends as well as Investor Angels, with the capital gained being used to focus on further growing its team for a bright future in wedding planning.

Diversity, Equity & Inclusion at That's The One

  • At the heart of what we're doing at TTO is helping people solve problems more creatively. Creativity requires diversity in thought and experience which is why we need an incredibly diverse team to make TTO a success.
  • We want to ensure we're building a balanced and diverse team right from the get-go, which can be challenging for an early-stage startup. We're doing this by removing bias from our interview process where possible (e.g. using independent scorecards) and monitoring the gender balance in our pipeline so that we can keep it equal.
